If you had the 30th Celebration Binder Collection circled for October 2, move it. The Pokémon Company International has quietly pushed the US release to December 4, 2026 — a two-month slip, confirmed by an updated listing on Pokemon.com and by retailer pages including Best Buy rather than by any announcement.
No reason was given. Everything else in the 30th Celebration rollout is, as of this week, still on its original date.
What changed, exactly
One product, one date. The Binder Collection is a 9-pocket portfolio that ships with five 30th Celebration booster packs, at an MSRP of roughly $31.99. It was slated for the set's second wave on October 2 alongside the Day & Night Mini Tins. It now lands in the final wave in December.
Delays like this are usually mundane — a component that didn't source in time, an assembly line that didn't hit volume, freight that missed a window. TPCi hasn't said which, and we're not going to guess for them.
The one detail worth flagging honestly: the Binder Collection is the 30th Celebration product that streamers have been opening on stream for weeks ahead of release, and much of the set leaked that way. PokéBeach notes it's unclear whether those early openings had anything to do with the delay. Unclear is the accurate word. Treat the connection as a community theory, not a cause.

Worth remembering that 30th Celebration packs are only sold inside these products — there's no standalone booster box for this set. Which product you buy is the only lever you have on how many packs you get.
What this actually means if you're buying
Three practical notes.
The binder is not suddenly scarce. A delay pushes supply later; it doesn't shrink it. If you see Binder Collection listings jump between now and December on "delayed = rare" reasoning, that's sentiment, not supply. The same logic applied to Ascended Heroes last year and the product printed heavily anyway.
Master-set collectors take the real hit. If your plan was to have the set housed in its own portfolio by October, that's now a December plan. Third-party 9-pocket binders are a fraction of the cost if the packs were the point.
Don't let one moved date reshuffle the rest. September 16 is still the launch, and it's still the wave with the ETB and the ex Box. The premium tier is still November. Only the binder moved.
