The Japanese version, Storm Emeralda, lands much earlier on July 31st, so expect Japanese product, early card images, and pull information to surface well before the English launch. Why this reveal is unusual
Two things make this announcement stand out. First, it's the first time Pokémon has revealed a Japanese set, its English equivalent, and a Pokémon TCG Pocket set all at once — Storm Emeralda, Delta Reign, and Pocket's "Ruler of the Skies" share the Mega Rayquaza ex theme and were teased together. Second, learning the English name and release date this far ahead is rare; usually the English set is confirmed much closer to launch.
