If there’s one modern set that still makes people’s hands shake when they crack a pack, it’s Prismatic Evolutions. The Eeveelutions are the reason — and once you see what the top cards are selling for, you’ll understand why this set refuses to cool off.
Start with the good news on odds. Prismatic Evolutions has friendlier Special Illustration Rare pull rates than most recent sets — somewhere around one SIR every 45 packs. Compare that to a set like Surging Sparks, where you were often waiting 85 to 90 packs for the same thrill, and it’s easy to see why people kept ripping this one well past launch.
Now the part everyone wants: the chase cards. These are current TCGplayer market prices, checked in late May 2026 — they move fast, so treat them as a snapshot:
- Umbreon ex SIR (“Sunbreon”) — about $1,570. The crown jewel, and it has only climbed. Stunning art plus genuine demand makes it one of the most valuable modern Pokémon cards, period.
- Sylveon ex SIR — about $450.
- Espeon ex SIR — about $330.
- Glaceon ex SIR — about $275.
- Pikachu ex (Hyper Rare) — about $70, the most attainable of the chases.
There’s also the legendary God Pack lurking in this set — a single pack that comes out all rares. Pulling one is wildly unlikely, but the fact it exists is part of what gives Prismatic that lottery-ticket buzz.
So here’s the honest gut-check we’d give a friend: are you buying to open, or to chase one specific card? If you love the rip, this is one of the most rewarding modern sets to open thanks to those odds. But if your heart is set on Sunbreon, do the math first — at a fraction of a percent per pack, buying the single outright is often cheaper than chasing it through sealed. No shame in that.
